Jerry Seinfeld Talks with Jiminy Glick and Parodies “Comedians in Cars”

As we’ve mentioned beforeMaya and Marty has inexplicably become one of our favorite shows of the summer. Who knew a primetime variety series featuring former (and current) SNL cast members would end up being a bright spot in the (admittedly quite barren) summer landscape? Anyway, one of the reasons for its success is its ability to get high-profile guest stars, which can be seen most clearly in Martin Short’s Jiminy Glick segments.

Having already interviewed Larry David, it’s only fair that Jiminy also interview Jerry Seinfeld, “from the ’90s”. As usual, Jiminy didn’t hold anything back. We especially loved Jiminy’s take on Jerry’s observational comedic stylings: “why do windows get dirty?”

Jerry Seinfeld also participated a parody sketch of his web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. “The Lost Episodes” featured Martin Short doing a spot-on impression of Larry David, castmember Mikey Day as a YouTube comedian, Kenan Thompson as Neil deGrasse Tyson, Maya Rudolph as Khloe Kardashian, and Amy Poehler as a lady he met behind a pizza place. It was funny enough to make us hope that Jerry does eventually end up branching out beyond comedians.
