Stephen Colbert sat down with Hillary Clinton at New York’s Carnegie Deli in a pre-taped interview that aired last night on The Late Show. Clinton and Colbert ate a couple of huge sandwiches, had some cheesecake, and talked about the election.
Stephen seemed to have a lot of fun speaking with the likely Presidential nominee for the Democrats. He didn’t push her terribly hard on any issues, but he did bring up that she hasn’t shown to be much of New Yorker and he did bring up that she attended Donald Trump’s wedding.
Instead of the stuffy, canned interviews that politicians often do on talk shows, we’d like to see more conversations like this. In fact, we’d like to see more of this in general from Colbert. The interview was what we wanted from Stephen since he took over the reins of The Late Show.
